Valtar the Bandit 'King'
Status: Deceased
Valtar was a bandit leader operating south of the Beorning lands. He purported himself to be the rightful 'king' of Esgaroth. In addition to being a highway bandit, Valtar was also a slaver. He was killed by our heroes in a lightning quick raid on his compound.
What the heroes didn't expect was to find a severed head inside a chest in his tent. The head is guessed to be a communication tool for necromancers and agents of the Shadow.

Wargs
Wargs are large wolves, tainted by the evil of the shadow. They are often seen with Orcs and may be used as mounts for the creatures. Several were in the band that attacked the Easterly Inn's caravan.
Orcs
Larger than your average Goblin, Orcs are filled with the same evil. They are fond of keeping Wargs as mounts. Several Orcs were in the party that raided the caravan bound for the Easterly Inn, including their captain Ubhurtz who was slain by an arrow from Artem (though several witnesses saw the mighty orc fall after a swing from Podo's blade).
Goblins
Goblins are foul creatures who live in dark places. The party encountered a band of Goblins attacking a small caravan bound for the Easterly Inn. The group repulsed the attack, but no before a small hobbit maiden was captured and taken to their lair.

Barrow Wight
The party encountered this foul undead creature at the ruins of an ancient human settlement. The creature may have risen when his burial mound was pillaged by the dwarf Braegin in his secret search for treasure. Breagin struck the creature with a burning timber from the campfire and Artem finished it off with a burning arrow to its head.

Attercop Spiders
Artem, Braegin and Podo fought Attercop spiders in a blighted section of Mirkwood forest during the rescue of Baldor the merchant. The spiders made their nest in the ruins of an ancient Elven outpost. Several of the spiders were slain before the heroes made it to the safety of Thranduil's glen. If not for their hasty retreat, the part may have fallen to the sheer numbers of the foul creatures.

Mewlips
Foul creatures fought by Artem, Podo and Breagin during the rescue of Balin and Oin. They dwell in the swamps south of Esgaroth amongst malevolent crows and the hanging gallows weed.
The Shadows where the Mewlips dwell
Are dark and wet as ink,
And slow and softly rings their bell,
As in the slime you sink.
You sink into the slime, who dare
To knock upon their door,
While down the grinning gargoyles stare
And noisome waters pour.
Beside the rotting river-strand
The drooping willows weep,
And gloomily the gorcrows stand
Croaking in their sleep.
Over the Merlock Mountains a long and weary way,
In a mouldy valley where the trees are grey,
By a dark pool's borders without wind or tide,
Moonless and sunless, the Mewlips hide.
The cellars where the Mewlips sit
Are deep and dank and cold
With single sickly candle lit;
And there they count their gold.
Their walls are wet, their ceilings drip;
Their feet upon the floor
Go softly with a squish-flap-flip,
As they sidle to the door.
They peep out slyly; through a crack
Their feeling fingers creep,
And when they've finished, in a sack
Your bones they take to keep.
Beyond the Merlock Mountains, a long and lonely road,
Through the spider-shadows and the marsh of Tode,
And through the wood of hanging trees and gallows-weed,
You go to find the Mewlips - and the Mewlips feed.
